Warstein Germany 2010

This is my first time in this town.  It is know for a pretty good size brewery, Warsteiner.  All the local places seem to carry it, can’t imagine why.  I tried some at dinner last night, it’s pretty good if you like a traditional German Pilsner (I do).

The weather isn’t so good now so these are in black and white.

This is a view from the left side of my window.  It’s a church, the bells ring frequently.  The whole town looks like this.  The town is actually on top of a small hill.  I noticed when I went out to today.

This is the view from the right side of the window in my room.  Next time I’m out, I’ll bring the camera and take a picture of the town on the hill.

Tokyo March 2010

Finally!  I got around to uploading our Tokyo pictures.  This was a great trip.  My wife was able to join me and we got to go all over Tokyo and even to Mount Fuji.  In general, people in Tokyo are extremely helpful even to the point of actually walking you to where you are trying to go.  We are both looking forward to the trip to Tokyo.

Check out the pictures.1Palace

This first picture is from our first full day, the weather was perfect.  This is the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.

2Nakamise

Also from our first day, this is Nakamise shopping street.  I have this same picture from a previous trip somewhere in my blog.  It looks pretty much the same.

3Fuji1

Here’s a picture of our full day trip to Mount Fuji.  We spent the better part of a day on a bus in the fog.  We got so tired of the bus and the fog we decided to spend the extra money to take the bullet train back to the hotel.  IT WAS WORTH IT!!!

4Fuji2

Again, Mount Fuji.  This is a couple of days later from the top floor of our hotel.  That morning at breakfast we thought we go to the top floor restaurant and see if we were able to see Mount Fuji.  Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed, but I noticed a bunch of doors that looked like conference rooms.  We just walked into one, opened the blinds, and this is what we saw.

5Garden

Here’s a garden. The view in black and white was pretty cool.  I was a pretty place.

6Disney

Finally, Tokyo Disney.  This is actually Tokyo Disney Sea.  It is really something, very well done.  One small problem, we went on the Saturday of spring break in Tokyo.  We didn’t get to ride even one ride.

Snow? In Tokyo!!??

IMG_4592 This is really something, I had no idea that it snows in Tokyo in March!!  This is the view from our hotel room looking down over the city.  We’ve been here a few days now, the first full day was pretty nice, since that day, the weather has become worse.  First foggy days, then rain, now SNOW!!!  There’s a couple of inches on the ground at this point.  I’ll post more pictures when I get some time.  My favorite is the mount Fuji pictures.
